*Scene at the arcade*
Narrator: After playing all those games I feel like playing that new game that they installed.
Narrator: I think it’s about shooting dinosaurs or something.
Hitchhiker: uhh gov’nor-
Narrator: Yeah, just think about it, it only costs us 5 dollars to play and it’s new.
Hitchhiker: uhh guv’nor-
Narrator: Yea?
Hitchhiker: You know we’re right in the middle of the arcade right?
Narrator: Yes, I know.
Hitchhiker: And you know that we were supposed to be right across the street right?
Narrator: Huh?
Narrator: What do you mean?
Hitchhiker: The only reason I’m here is because you wanted to go shoppin
Narrator: Oh right, I guess I got sidetracked.
Hitchhiker: Ye, Tis right guv’nur, it’s 5pm already.
Narrator: 5PM?!?!?!
Hitchhiker: Yes 5PM, and I wasn’t here just to play some childish games guv’nor.
Narrator: Can we just play one more game?
Hitchhiker: We? Nah, you can play by yourself.
Narrator: Why? Don’t you like playing arcade games?
Hitchhiker: Nah, I just think it’s a waste of money and time.
*Narrator goes to the new game*
Narrator: Hey!
Hitchhiker: What happened? I thought you were going to play that new game.
Narrator: uhm no I just felt uhh, Bored.
Hitchhiker: You just don’t have that much money aye guv’nor.
Narrator: No, I just uhm , no I – I, ok you got me I got no money.
Hitchhiker: And you prolly, need my help to pickpocke-, I mean use my fingersmithing abilities to get you more money.
Narrator: Yes, basically.
Hitchhiker: Ok, but you owe me for this one guv’nor.
*3 Hours later*
Hitchhiker: Aye guv’nor, guess what?
Narrator: *Wakes up* *Yawns* what?
Hitchhiker: You slept.
Narrator: Tell me something I don’t already know.
Hitchhiker: And guess what else?
Narrator: What?
Hitchhiker: I snatched up 500 dollars in total, 502 and 50 cents exactly.
Narrator: What? HOW!!?
Hitchhiker: Can we go shopping now guv’nor?
Narrator: Sure
Narrator: You can even get somethin for yourself.
Hitchhiker: Thanks guv’nor I’d like the very much.

This week for literacy we are focusing on identifying character traits. The book that we are analysing is a book called the hitchhiker (By Roald Dahl). It is basically about 2 people who are in car that get to know each other as the story progresses. The character traits I got for the Narrator are – Brave, Kind and trusting.
Hitchhiker – Sneaky, Dishonest and Likeable.
